What you can do to help prepare a meaningful and special funeral ceremony

Bright natural dining room nook with vases plates and fruits on the table.

“ Just tell me if there is anything I can do.”

A friend of mine described having someone you love die as “feeling like you’ve been mugged down a dark alley”. It’s hard to think straight. You are shattered and bruised. It doesn’t seem real. You don’t want it to be real.

The Funeral Director is assisting you with the immediate tasks that need to be done but there is the service to think about.

You have contacted the Funeral Celebrant and they will be coming to meet with tomorrow.

This is the time when a trusted friend or family member says “Just tell me if there anything I can do..” that you say “Yes - help me find photo albums, help me decide on music, help me find the music, help me to contact people who I would like to include in the service, help me by listening to me and take down notes of what I what I say as I won’t remember. I want this to be right.”
